Previous College: Nelms transfers to CSU as a junior following an impressive two-year career at Daytona State College, where she helped the Falcons earn a top ten national ranking and the program''s first bid to the NJCAA Nationals her freshman year.

Last season, Nelms averaged 14.5 points per game and shot an impressive 77.5 percent from the free throw line on the way to becoming a First Team All-Mid Florida Conference selection. The 5-6 guard helped the Falcons to a undefeated conference record and a Mid-Florida Conference Championship her freshman year, where she earned five starts and averaged just under six points per game. 

Nelms catapulted to one of the Falcons'' leading scorers during her sophomore year.  She was second on the team in scoring (14.5 ppg) and started all 27 games, recording double figures 23 times.  She also led the team in steals (50), three-point field goals made (57), three-point field goal percentage (33.9) and was second in assists and assists per game (68/2.9).  The Pensacola-native was the 7th leading scorer in the Mid-Florida Conference and saw her overall increase to 15.1 points per game during conference play.
