CHARLESTON, S.C. - Senior Milleina Ohara and the CSU women's golf team wrapped up the season two weeks ago at the Big South Conference Championships at The Patriot at Grand Harbor. The Tokyo, Japan native has been in the United States over the past five years after coming to play golf at a local academy in Charleston.
Affectionately known as "Momo" on the team, Ohara majored in Computer Science during her time with the Bucs. CSU sports intern Jazzin Clark had the opportunity to get to know the CSU golf senior with their conversation accounted for below:
Secret talent or fact? It is not really a secret talent, but I can talk a lot about my experiences in Japan.
Favorite class: Any coding classes
Least: Any English Class
Strangest nickname you have: MoMo, an old teammate couldn't pronounce my name so she came up with Momo, which is a mix of my first and last initials and it just stuck!
Favorite ice cream flavor: Green Tea, even though everyone finds it strange
Mountains or beach? Definitely beach, it is very relaxing and romantic
What do you want to do when you graduate? Stay in Charleston and get an IT job
Favorite TV show: I actually do not watch tv
Place you would most like to visit? Other planets
Do you have any superstitions or pre-game rituals? I am rather quiet. I stay to myself and listen to music.
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? Ramen Noodles without a doubt
If you were a superhero, what superpower would you have? I would like the ability to travel time
What are your hobbies outside of golf? Petting cats
If you could go back in time, what decade would you travel to? 80's, my parents use to tell me all about their times in the 80s and I think it would be really cool to go back.
Favorite thing about golf? I love the environment, it is so beautiful, like the feeling of making birdies and etc is amazing.
