East Carolina, the two-time defending event champion, headlines a field that also features six other Big South Conference programs. The Bucs finished a solid seventh in last year's Pirate Collegiate Classic behind Shelby Thompson's fourth-place showing.
CSU struggled in its season opening event three weeks ago, placing 16th in a deep field at The Ocean Course Invitational. Seniors Hayley McNeill and Milleina Ohara paced the Bucs by tying for 37th place in the 87-player field.
McNeill, an all-conference pick a year ago, has played very well in qualifying heading into this tournament, according to CSU head coach Matt Cram-Smith.
Emelie Flink and Daniela Intriago will hope to solidify the middle to back end of CSU's lineup after up-and-down rounds three weeks ago at The Ocean Course. Xus Boria, a freshman from Spain, will make her collegiate debut in the number five spot in the rotation.
