CSU competes on day two of Palmetto Intercollegiate; turns focus toward Tuesday's final round

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. - Charleston Southern struggled on day two of the Palmetto Intercollegiate, slipping to 19th place in the field at Turtle Point Golf Club. Coastal Carolina surged into the lead with a three-under par second round total and is six shots ahead of second-place Ole Miss.

Coastal's Malene Krolboll Hansen carded a three-under 69 to take the individual lead heading into Tuesday's final round. Hansen is one shot clear of a group of four players at one-under.

Junior Hayley McNeill led coach Matt Cram-Smith's Bucs for the second straight day. McNeill and senior Bella Johnson each tallied eight-over 80's. Both players highlighted their days with birdies at the par-four first hole. 

CSU will look to rebound on its final 18 competitive holes of the fall campaign tomorrow morning. Live stats are available via Golfstat.
