WAYNESVILLE, NC - Charleston Southern's women's golf team put together a solid second-round to move up two spots in the final standings, finishing ninth overall at the Wachovia-Great Smokies Women's Collegiate. The 24-team event was held earlier this week at the Waynesville Country Club.
CSU posted a second-round total of 305, 13 strokes better than their first-round score. The effort was led by Julie St. Onge, who rallied from a disappointing 88 on the first day to post a 73 in round two. Sara McFadden was CSU's most consistent performer, finishing with a two-day total of 153 to finish in a tie for 21st place individually.
Tiffany Shoppe shot 155 for the tournament, tying for 30th overall. Morgan Fuqua finished with a 160, followed by St. onge and Erica Donovan, who shot 164 for the two days.
