CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston Southern continues Big South Conference play on the road on Monday night as the Buccaneers make the trip to Millis Center to take on High Point. Tipoff on the Big South Network is set for 7 p.m.
The Bucs have won two of their past three games and won their previous road conference matchup last week in Farmville, Va., topping Longwood. CSU is 2-2 in Big South play on the season and are looking to bounce back from a Saturday setback at home against Presbyterian.
CSU features the Big South's leading scorer on the season in Alyssa Mann (16.3 ppg), while Monique Maximilien (8.5 rpg, 2.1 bpg) is one of the top presences in the paint in the 2015-16 season. The Bucs are second in the conference in assists (13.2) and blocked shots (4.9) per game.
Scouting High Point
High Point enters the Monday night contest with a 3-9 overall record, 2-1 in Big South play on the season. The Panthers have fallen in each of their past three games with losses to VCU, Elon and Presbyterian during the stretch. For the season, the Panthers are 3-2 overall at home with their wins coming against Greensboro College, Longwood and Radford. Their home losses on the year include a double overtime loss to Davidson, as well as VCU on December 16.
Kaylah Keys leads the Panthers with 16.1 points per game and is the team's primary deep threat with 22 three-pointers on the season. Haleigh Hatfield is the team's leading rebounder with 4.5 rebounds per game, while Emma Bockrath is the team's top defensive player with 22 steals on the season. Kat Harris leads the team with 34 assists and is second on the team with 8.3 points per game.

Marley Brown scored a career-high 13 points for visiting Charleston Southern on Saturday night against High Point and Alyssa Mann added 12 of her own as the Buccaneers fell on the road inside the Millis Center to the Panthers, 92-60. Brown was 4-of-8 from the floor and 4-of-5 from the free throw line to pace CSU's scorers in 18 minutes of play as the Bucs were without the services of leading scorer Tatum Jarvis due to injury. Mann connected on a team-high two three-pointers on the night in her third straight double-digit scoring effort as the Bucs shot 33.3% from the floor as a team.
Presbyterian 63, Charleston Southern 49 (January 2, 2016)
Charleston Southern was unable to overcome a 22-0 run by the Blue Hose on Saturday afternoon as the Buccaneers fell for the first time in the Buc Dome in the 2015-16 season, 63-49. The Bucs (7-6, 2-2) opened the game with the first four points of the contest on a pair of Monique Maximilien baskets in the paint. PC (7-6, 3-1) answered with 22 straight points with seven different players scoring during the stretch to take a double-digit lead the Blue Hose would hold throughout a majority of the game.
