CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston Southern looks to pick up their first road win of the season in their final contest of 2015 as the Buccaneers return to Big South play tonight at Longwood. Tipoff in Willett Hall on the Big South Network is set for 7 p.m.
The Bucs are a perfect 6-0 at home in the 2015-16 season, but are still searching for their first win away from the friendly confines of the Buc Dome as CSU has fallen at Clemson, Virginia, CofC, Liberty and Georgia Southern. They go up against a Lancers' team that is 3-1 at home in 2015-16, but fell in their lone Big South game at home to Presbyterian.
It is the eighth time the Bucs have taken on Longwood in the Fred Applin era with CSU still looking for their first win against the Lancers since Longwood joined the Big South in the 2012-13 season.
Longwood enters the Tuesday night matchup with a 3-8 overall record, 0-2 in Big South Conference play on the season. The Lancers fell at High Point and dropped a home contest against Presbyterian in Big South action on the year. For the season in the Willett Center, the Lancers are 3-1 this season with wins over N.C. Central, N.C. Wesleyan and Notre Dame of Maryland.
Kyndal Skersick leads the Lancers on the season with 10.5 points per game and is Longwood's leading outside threat with 23 three-pointers on the season. Daeisha Brown is averaging 7.9 points per game and leads the Lancers with 14 steals. Eboni Gilliam leads the rebounding efforts with 5.9 rebounds per game and leads the team with seven blocked shots on the year.

Charleston Southern recognized their 2014-15 seniors prior to their tipoff against Longwood and nearly gave them the victory as the Buccaneers late rally against the Lancers came up just short in the Bucs 58-51 loss. Tatum Jarvis led the way for the Bucs with 13 points and eight rebounds, while Monique Maximilien had 11 rebounds and displayed some tough interior defense as the Bucs held the 43-35 rebounding margin, but 17 turnovers led to 11 Lancers points and that made the difference as CSU fell in their regular season finale.

Charleston Southern 80, Western Carolina 59 (December 22, 2015)
Alyssa Mann reached the 20 point mark for the fifth game this season and Monique Maximilien recorded her fourth double-double of the year as Charleston Southern topped Western Carolina on Tuesday night heading into Christmas break, 80-59. Mann shot 9-of-14 from the field to pace a CSU (6-5) offensive output as the Bucs shot 46.8% from the floor in their sixth home win of the 2015 season in the Buc Dome. Mann finished the contest with 22 points, five assists and added three steals in the win.
