ROCK HILL, S.C. - Charleston Southern's men rank fifth after the first day of action at the 2019 Big South Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The Bucs were led by a second place finish from Jeryck Wilson in the 10K and a fourth place mark from Clarence Moss in the discus.
Jeryck Wilson - 2nd, 10K (32:39.90)
Clarence Moss finished just off the podium in the discus. His mark of 46.79m was 0.13m away from the third place thrower. JP Caglione also scored points for the Bucs with a seventh place finish and a throw measuring 45.36m.
Frankie Thomas had the Bucs' best jump of the day. He made the finals with a jump that measured 6.96m, good for eighth place overall.
Josiah Scarlett ran the third fastest time in the 400m hurdles (54.17) to qualify for Friday's final. Justin Green has a new 200m PR of 21.54 as he and Joshua Paramore qualify for the final on Friday.
In the 10K, Jeryck Wilson took home second place crossing the line in 32:39.90.
The Bucs continue in the Big South Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday beginning with the 110m hurdles at 6:20pm
