Spiecha's top-five paces Bucs on final day of Camel City Invitational

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Ryan Spiecha finished in the top five in the shot put to pace Charleston Southern on the field day of the Camel City Invitational at the JDL Fast Track.

Spiecha finished fifth overall in the field with a long throw of 15.24 meters, his third-longest throw of the season and third-longest throw in CSU history.

JP Caglione was also in the top 10 in the shot put for the Bucs with a distance of 14.34m. Jacob Moore finished four spots back with a throw of 13.65 to round out the CSU group in the field.

Joshua Paramore paced the Bucs in the 200m dash with a time of 23.55 to finish 27th in the field. Justin Green finished six spots back with a time of 23.71.

The CSU quartet of Keith Terry, Josiah Scarlett, Brandon Damon, and Jeryk Wilson finished ninth among the field in the 4000m distance medley relay. CSU crossed the line with a time of 10:43.39.

Paramore paced the Bucs in the 60m dash preliminaries placing 14th overall with a time of 7.01.

Terik Green, Josiah Scarlett, Brandon Damon, and Vincent Johnson led the Bucs in the 4x400m relay finishing 12th overall in the field with a time of 3:31.12.

Timothy Davis finished 14th overall in the triple jump event with a length of 13.43m. Niegel Simmons placed two spots back with a distance of 12.99m.

Charleston Southern is back in action next weekend at the Liberty Elite Invitational hosted by Liberty University on February 10-11.
