AIKEN, S.C. - Charleston Southern wrapped up The Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate on Tuesday afternoon as the Buccaneers finished sixth overall in the field.
The Buccaneers turned in a final round 293 to finish 22-over par for the event. The Bucs were paced by Brandon Smith's top-10 finish over the tournament as CSU finished ahead of nationally-ranked USC Aiken in the field.
Brandon Smith continued his late tournament surge as the junior went four-under par over the final two rounds to place tied for 10th in the field. He birdied 10, 12, 14, four, and seven to highlight his final round at the Palmetto Golf Club.
Connor Moore and Brandon McBride finished tied for 29th in the field in the event with the CSU duo both carding 8-over par tournaments for the Bucs. McBride highlighted his day with birdies on 10 and 14.
Elliot Goth was tied for 46th overall in the field after finishing with a 221 over the three days. Alan Smith wrapped up the group in 56th with a total round score of 224.
Charleston Southern is back in action on March 22-24 at the Furman Intercollegiate hosted at the Furman Golf Club in Greenville, S.C.
