CHARLESTON, S.C. - Charleston Southern head football coach Autry Denson announced more details for the CSU Spring Game on Friday morning. The Buccaneers are hosting their Spring Game on Saturday, April 13, with kickoff set for 1 p.m.
The Buccaneers will start the day with a meeting with CSU football alumni at 9 a.m. The football coaching staff will put the alumni through a CSU recruiting weekend visit to showcase what the current Buccaneer recruits go through when they come to campus.
Denson and the Bucs will meet with the CSU football parents at 11 a.m. in the lead up to the Spring Game. Gates will open at the Whitfield Stadium Center at noon.
The Buccaneers will take the field for their Spring Football game at 1 p.m. and will compete live in two 15-minute quarters at Buccaneer Field. Starting at 2 p.m., football alumni will be competing in a flag football game scheduled to have two 15-minute running clock quarters to wrap up action on the field.
Tailgating and Parking for the Spring Game are set to open in all lots at 10 a.m. The Bucs will have giveaways, activities, and multiple contests running throughout the afternoon.
Following the Spring Game, Denson and the coaching staff will hold a cookout for the current CSU football parents, players, coaches, and football alumni.
The Buccaneers will continue the day with Denson scheduled to throw out the first pitch at the CSU Baseball game set to start at 4 p.m. against Gardner-Webb.
