CHARLESTON, S.C. – Charleston Southern senior running back Mike Holloway has been named to the College Football Performance Awards Midseason Watch List for 2016 FCS National Performer of the Year. Holloway is one of 36 players to receive recognition and one of two from the Big South Conference.
Holloway currently leads the nation in yards per carry (8.92) by more than a full yard. He paces the Big South with 98.1 yards per game and has posted three 100-yard efforts en route to 687 total yards and eight touchdowns. Holloway moved past Christian Reyes to become CSU's all-time leading rusher in the Bucs' double overtime win at nationally ranked Coastal Carolina. His eight rushing touchdowns are just four away from matching the single-season program record he establish during CSU's Big South championship 2015 season.
Holloway's classmate and backfield mate, Darius Hammond, was named CFPA All-Purpose Performer of the Year in 2015.
