High School: Product of Lower Richland High School and Hopkins, S.C., where he lined up at safety under head coach Wayne Farmer. He finished his high school playing career with 145 tackles, one interception, nine forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries and one defensive touchdown. On the offensive side of the ball, he finished with 800 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns. He was an All-Conference and All-Region selection, earning team Offensive MVP and Defensive Back of the Year honors.
