2012: Selected to the Big South All-Freshman Team following a stellar rookie campaign…finished the year 2nd on the team in batting with a .333 clip, and led the club with 71 hits, 31 runs scored, 10 stolen bases and 10 sacrifices…struck out just 14 times in 227 plate appearances, and drew 14 walks to total a .379 on-base percentage out of the leadoff spot…began his collegiate career by hitting safely in 13 straight games, highlighted by multi-hit efforts in six contests…racked up a 4-for-5 day with a double and the first two runs scored of his career as CSU downed Georgetown on February 18…went 3-for-4 and scored a pair of runs as CSU topped Savannah State on February 22…slapped a pair of singles in CSU’s challenge at Auburn on March 3…went 2-for-5 with a two-run triple for first RBI of career in the Bucs’ victory over Penn on March 17…followed it up with two more hits and three more RBI as CSU secured a series victory over the Quakers with a 5-1 triumph on March 18…went 3-for-4 with two runs scored in a loss at Campbell on March 31…went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored to key CSU’s 10-2 win over UNC Asheville on April 7 as the Bucs clinched a doubleheader sweep…drove in a pair of runs in CSU’s 4-3 come-from-behind win versus Gardner-Webb on April 13…went 2-for-5 and made a brilliant diving catch which appeared on SportsCenter versus ACC power Clemson on April 17…went 2-for-5 and belted his first career home run to lead CSU past Savannah State on April 18…went a perfect 5-for-5 and stole two bases in CSU’s loss at Presbyterian on April 22…went 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored as CSU routed VMI, 8-1, on May 12…went 1-for-9 and scored a run in both of the Bucs’ Big South Tournament games.

High School: A three-year letter winner at nearby Stratford High School in Goose Creek… Played under head coach John Chalus and alongside current CSU teammate Ryan Gunther… Was a High School Sports Report all-region honoree in 2010 and 2011… Named to the all-state team in 2011… Earned the Best Hitter Award in both 2010 and 2011… Hit .453 as a senior, .386 as a junior and .381 as a sophomore for a career average of .404… Collected 105 hit, 43 RBI and 75 runs scored in three seasons… Named to the 2011 North/South All-Star game… Was a Post & Courier All-Lowcountry Player in 2010 and 2011.
