RADFORD, VA – The Charleston Southern softball team traveled to Virginia on Friday afternoon to face Radford, falling to the Highlanders 8-0.
Radford took control early, scoring five runs in the first inning to build a quick advantage. The Highlanders added two more in the second and tacked on another in the fifth to secure the shutout victory.
Kinsey Clopton got the start in the circle for the Buccaneers, throwing 0.2 innings and allowing five runs on three hits while striking out two. Mackenzie North followed with 3.1 innings of relief, giving up three runs on seven hits with one strikeout. Gianna Deluco also saw action in the circle, tossing 0.1 innings and allowing one hit.
