CLINTON, SC - The Charleston Southern softball team split Saturday's doubleheader against Presbyterian College, falling 6-2 in game one before bouncing back with a 10-2 victory in game two.
GAME ONE
Presbyterian took an early lead, plating three runs in the second inning and two more in the third to take a 5-0 advantage.Â

The Buccaneers answered in the fourth. Maddie Lee and Jordyn Dimond opened the inning with back-to-back singles, and Carsten Sandvig followed with a walk to load the bases. Harper Schoeneweis reached on a fielding error to bring in the first run, and a sacrifice fly added another to cut the deficit to 5-2.
Charleston Southern threatened again in the fifth after Lorenzza Marcacci doubled down the third base line and Lee drew a walk, but both runners were left stranded.
Presbyterian added an insurance run in the sixth to secure the 6-2 win.
Kinsey Clopton got the start in the circle, pitching 2.2 innings and allowing five runs on four hits with three strikeouts. Brenna Conley provided relief, tossing 3.1 innings while giving up one run on five hits and striking out two.
GAME TWO
Dimond singled to left field to start the first and Lee reached on a fielding error before stealing second. Schoeneweis singled and a fly out RBI brought Dimond home to give the Bucs a 1-0 advantage.Â
