WALLACE, N.C. – Charleston Southern Women's Golf wrapped up their third tournament in as many weeks on Tuesday afternoon at the River Landing Classic. The Buccaneers finished in a tie for 4
th at the event hosted by UNCW.
As a team, they finished +54, tying with Radford. They were able to beat Appalachian State and William & Mary at the event. Over the three rounds, the Bucs went +19, +14 and +21.
Eugenie Varet was the team's top finisher, claiming a tie for 10
th with a total score of +7. She fired a +5 in the first round and then had back-to-back +1s over the final two rounds.
Isabella Galla was the next highest, claiming a tie for 18
th with a +11. She had her best round in the first with a +1.
Katie Stephens was next in a tie for 20
th with her best round of +2. Rounding out the team's lineup were
Odette Font Garcia (+22, 28
th) and
Paige Zolciak (+40, 43
rd).
The team will now enjoy three-and-a-half weeks off until their next tournament which will be the final one before the Big South Championships. The regular season finale is the More Than Golf Championship which will be hosted by USC Aiken and last from Friday, March 28 through Sunday, March 30. This year's Big South Championships return to Fripp Island with it to be held from Sunday, April 13 through Wednesday, April 16 as the Buccaneers will look to repeat as champions.
