CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Charleston Southern women's soccer team exploded for three second-half goals, including two just 27 seconds apart, to power past South Carolina State, 3-1, on Wednesday afternoon at CSU Soccer Field.

After a scoreless first half, the Buccaneers turned the momentum quickly in their favor. Cadance Bell broke the deadlock in the 57th minute with her third goal of the season, and second in as many games, heading in a corner kick from Rowyn Serne. The celebration was short-lived, however, as SC State's Alana Watts equalized just 10 seconds later.

CSU wasted no time reclaiming the lead. Only 12 seconds after the Bulldogs' goal, Jenéa Knight found the back of the net for her fourth of the year, capping off an incredible 27-second stretch that featured three total goals. Sedona Dancu later sealed the result in the 71st minute, blasting home her third goal of the season to make it 3-1.

The Buccaneers controlled play throughout, outshooting S.C. State 25-2 and dominating possession 60%-40%. Goalkeeper Avery Mason earned her fourth win of the year without needing to record a save, as the CSU defense limited the visitors to just two total shots.
