CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – Charleston Southern ran in the Panorama Farms Invitational on Friday morning to cap off their 2025 regular season. The Buccaneers claimed sixth as a team at the meet with a team score of 192, edging out conference foe High Point who took seventh with a score of 212.
Charleston Southern had a trio of runners finish in the top 45 at the race, running as a pack for most of the race.
Martin Iriondo claimed 38
th with his 24:31.9 followed by
Hayden Goode in 42
nd at 24:38.8 and
Caleb Kenyon in 45
th at 24:46.0.
Micah Gilpatric and
Zach Mickler were the next two finishers across the line for the Bucs and rounded out the day's scoring. Gilpatric had a time of 25:34.3 for 80
th with Mickler having a 25:37.1 for 82
nd.
Jeff Wedding and
Zaiden Lane completed the top seven for the squad with times of 25:51.1 and 25:55.4 for 86
th and 88
th.
The Buccaneers also had many of their new freshmen run in the race and put in solid performances.
Andrew Cleland was the highest finisher of the bunch with
JD Gilman right behind with times of 26:26.7 and 26:27.2. Other racers included
Liam O'Donnell (26:52.0),
Kaden Kleinhen (26:52.5),
Collin Kleinhen (27:06.1),
Jones Barber (27:19.2),
Earlon Baker (27:27.8), and Hayden Christensen (28:26.3).
This meet concludes the regular season for the Buccaneers with them to begin final preparations for the 2025 Big South Championships. This year's championships will be hosted by Longwood University on the morning of Friday, October 31.
