RADFORD, VA – The Charleston Southern women's basketball team wrapped up their 2023-24 road schedule on Wednesday, falling to the Radford Highlanders by a final score of 81-68 inside the Dedmon Center.
Kennedi Jackson had a career night for the Buccaneers (10-18, 7-8 in conference), scoring 26 points and pulling down nine rebounds and four assists.
Keshunti Nichols was behind her with her own career-high of 18 points and two blocks. She was also tied with Jackson for the team lead in rebounds with nine.
Charleston Southern had the early advantage, taking a 21-18 lead into the second quarter, finishing the opening period on an 11-3 run. Radford (12-17, 8-7 in conference) finished the second quarter outscoring the Bucs 22-18 and taking a one-point lead into intermission.
Radford took over in the second half, outscoring the Bucs 41-29 in the second half. The Bucs out-rebounded the Highlanders 40-30 on the boards. Radford won the game at the three-point line, as they shot 10/17 from beyond the arc compared Charleston Southern shooting 4/17.

The Bucs will wrap up the regular season on Saturday in the home finale, as they host Presbyterian at 2 PM. Charleston Southern defeated Presbyterian in Clinton to open conference play on Jan. 3. They look for their first sweep over the Blue Hose since 2010-11.
