After an impressive start to conference play, the Fighting Camels have struggled in their past few games, losing three in a row. As it stands, they still sit in third place in the Big South with an 8-6 conference record (13-12 overall).
Campbell is led by Head Coach Ronny Fisher, who is in his seventh season at the helm. In his first six seasons, the Fighting Camels have averaged 20 wins per season and were Big South tournament runner-ups in 2019, 2021 and 2022, giving them a spot in the WNIT for the first time in school history.
Fisher is going for a few milestones on Wednesday. With a win, he would give the Fighting Camels their 785
th win in program history. For him personally, it would be career win number 230. His team has one of the most aggressive defenses in the conference. They lead the Big South in points allowed per game with 52.2 and are second in the Big South with a +5.9 margin of victory. They are holding opponents to just 34.6% shooting from the field, which is the lowest percentage in the conference.
