HOT START
Charleston Southern (2-27, 2-15 Big South) had an impressive first stanza, as the Bucs ended the first frame leading High Point 10-5, behind five early point from
Alyssia Faye. It was effort on the defensive side of the ball that made the difference in the first quarter, forcing High Point into low-percentage shots. The defensive effort translated into high-percentage shots on the offensive end of the floor.

CALL HER SECOND HALF FARGO
Janaia Fargo had a very strong second half, as the guard found all 11 of her points in the half. The sophomore guard was called upon to play all 40 minutes, but only became more effective down the stretch. Â

BOARDS, BOARDS, BOARDS
Faye joined forces with
Tori Gittens and
Sharita Godfrey to combine for 17 rebounds between the trio, as Faye and Gittens led the way with six boards apiece. Godfrey and Gittens each collected a rebound on the offensive side of the ball, joining
Madison Adamson's two offensive boards.

THE DIFFERENCE
High Point (16-13, 13-5 Big South) changed the landscape of the game in the second stanza, outscoring Charleston Southern 16-2 in the quarter. The Bucs ended the first by doubling-up on the Panthers, but High Point was able to answer in a big way, taking the momentum and finding a lead that would stand the rest of the way.
