Game Notes: Charleston Southern
Opening Tip
• Charleston Southern returns home to open a busy week with three games in five days, playing host to Winthrop to open a two-game homestand Tuesday night.
• It marks the second meeting between the two schools, who tipped off the league slate Dec. 29, 2021, in Rock Hill. In that contest, CSU came out on top, 67-54, for its first victory of the season and first under head coach
Clarisse Garcia. She missed the contest with associate head coach
Stephanie Stoglin-Reed filling the spot.
• It was the only Big South game prior to the new year for the Bucs, who have since played the last 11 since the calendar flipped to 2022.
• The three games in five days marks one of the team's busiest stretches of the regular season. The Buccaneers did play four games in a six-day span Dec. 16-21 to close the non-conference slate.
• Thursday's rescheduled contest versus High Point will serve as Play BOLD night. For more information, visit
