HAMPTON, Va. – A power outage at the Hampton Convocation Center Saturday afternoon has forced the suspension of the Charleston Southern-Hampton Big South women's basketball contest until further notice.

The game was at the 4:53 mark of the second quarter with the period's media timeout just taking place before the power went out and the call was made to suspend the contest.

Both schools will work with the conference office on finding a mutual date for the game to resume.

Charleston Southern will hit the court next at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Farmville, Virginia, when it travels for a mid-week league contest at Longwood.
