Charleston Southern
Recapping Last Weekend
The Bucs won their first Big South series of the season over the weekend, taking two-of-three from Gardner-Webb at the CSU Softball Field.

Charleston Southern rallied from a 2-0 deficit in the series opener with three runs across the fourth and fifth innings.
Sarah Brown had the lone RBI for the Bucs on a single in the fourth inning, while CSU scored its last two runs on a pair of Runnin' Bulldog fielding errors.

GWU scored four runs in the final three innings of Saturday's first game to take the middle game of the series in eight innings, 6-3. A
SeaEnna Satcher solo home run and an
Ashley Meckley two-run homer accounted for all of the Bucs' offense in that game.

CSU responded in a big way in the series finale, taking the rubber match in run-rule fashion, 9-1, in five innings.
Ashlyn Cribb had a career-high three hits, two doubles and four RBI's in the contest, including the game-ending hit.
Holly Clark allowed just three hits in 5.0 innings for her second complete game win of the season.

Satcher and
Meghan Gagliano had hits in all three games of the series for the Bucs, while Clark and
Annah Junge earned the wins in the circle. Nine different Bucs had at least one hit in the series.

Season Leaders
Brewington is the Bucs' leader among its regular starters in batting average at .350 and hits with 28.
Katelyn Norris is hitting .291 and has hits in each of her last five games, along with a career-high 10-game on-base streak.
Ashley Meckley leads the team with five doubles, eight homers, 13 extra-base hits and 15 runs batted in while drawing a team-high 16 walks. Seven of the Bucs' nine regular starters are hitting at least .250 this season.

In the circle, Junge leads the Bucs in ERA at 4.23 and innings pitched with 51.1. Eaton has a team-high three wins while limiting opposing hitters to a .265 average, the lowest mark on the team. Junge and Clark each have 22 strikeouts to lead the team in that category, while Eaton has 21.

What to Watch For
CSU remains perfect on the basepaths through the first 25 games of the season. The Bucs are 31-for-31 on stolen base attempts this season, with Brewington's 12 steals leading the team.

The Bucs had seven extra-base hits in Saturday's doubleheader, the most in a two-game stretch this season since recording nine extra-base hits in a midweek doubleheader against Coastal Carolina.

Saturday's run-rule win was the second run-rule win for the Bucs this season, with both coming in Big South play.

Junge has a 2.40 ERA in 35.0 innings against Big South opposition, while Eaton's ERA sits at 3.32 in conference play.

Scouting Georgia Southern
Georgia Southern enters Tuesday's contest at 9-18 overall and 2-9 in Sun Belt Conference play. The Eagles won their first conference series of the season over the weekend, taking two-of-three from Coastal Carolina.

Georgia Southern is 5-3 against common opponents this season. The Eagles took two-of-three from both Winthrop and Coastal Carolina, swept the College of Charleston in a doubleheader and lost to South Carolina.

Dejah Mills leads the Eagles with a .395 batting average. Bailee Wilson is one of three Eagles to have started all 27 games this season and is hitting .393. Faith Shirley leads Georgia Southern with 11 doubles, six homers and 19 runs batted in.
