Box Score CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Charleston Southern softball team dropped their final game of the Charleston Invitational to Army on Sunday afternoon.

BOTTOM OF THE THIRD
- Brooklynn Brewington led off the bottom half of the inning with a single to the pitcher.
- With two outs on the board, Mallory Kasinger delivered a double to right center to bring home the leading run for CSU.
TOP OF THE FOURTH
- Annah Junge retired the side in order after garnering the one-run lead as she picked up a pair of strikeouts. With the pair of K's, Junge picked up a new career high with five strikeouts.
TOP OF THE SIXTH
- Army loaded the bases after a fielding error from the Bucs and would plate three runs after the Black Knights hit a bases-clearing double. Army would extend their lead 7-1 as the teams headed to the bottom of the sixth.
BOTTOM OF THE SIXTH
- Sarah Brown led things off in the sixth with a solo shot to left field, her first of the year.
- The Bucs would leave a pair of runners stranded on the corners.
Army would hold onto the lead after picking up a pair of runs in the top of the seventh.
Annah Junge gets the loss for the Bucs and falls to 1-2 on the season.
THe Buccaneers will return to action next Friday as they take a trip to Patriots Point to participate in the three day Holy City Showdown.
