MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. - Charleston Southern senior Milleina Ohara posted a final round two-over par 74 to finish tied for 42nd Tuesday at the Charleston Invitational. CSU placed 16th as a team in the event, co-hosted by the Bucs and College of Charleston at RiverTowne Country Club.
Coastal Carolina cruised to the team title by compiling a six-under par 282 to finish at -9 overall. The Chanticleers finished 15 strokes in front of second-place Campbell and 27 ahead of East Carolina and Middle Tennessee State, who tied for third.
Coastal's Malene Krolboll Hansen and Frantiska Lunackova tied for first place with -3 tallies through 54 holes. Krolboll Hansen earned medalist honors by virtue of a scorecard playoff.
Ohara, playing out of the number one spot, continued a solid spring with another steady effort Tuesday. She played the back nine at even par and notched 13 pars in total.
Emelie Flink (T-72nd) carded a 77 for CSU's second best round of the day. Andriel Aim (T-69th) and Daniela Intriago (68th) contributed the Bucs' other counted scores with a 78 and 79, respectively.
Next up for CSU is the Big South Conference Championship from April 13-15. For the second straight year, the tournament will be contested at The Patriot at Grand Harbor in Ninety Six, S.C.
