The Buccaneers (8-9, 3-5) utilized a 15-0 run in the second quarter to fight their way back into the contest in erasing a double-digit first half deficit to take the 35-30 lead into the break. "[Coastal] got more 50/50 balls than us today," said CSU head coach Fred Applin. "They really hustled and played well. It was a physical game. Coastal executed better than we did down the stretch today. We are a team that is still learning and growing. We play hard, but we can play harder. We can get better and I think this team is beginning to realize that more and more."

Dobson finished the game with 15 points as the sophomore guard connected on 5-of-9 from behind the arc. It was her fourth game in the 2015-16 season with at least five three-pointers as the CSU guard sparked the Bucs offense with a pair of triples late in the first half.

"Dobson did a good job tonight," said Applin. "We needed a spark off the bench and she keyed us offensively for a stretch. We have a good balance of kids. We will continue to work and get better."
