Lady Bucs finish 15th at Cardinal CupSeptember 18, 2012 LOUISVILLE, KY. – The Charleston Southern Lady Bucs shot a team 314 (+16) and claimed 15th overall in Tuesday’s final round of the 2012 Cardinal Cup, played at the Cardinal Club Golf Course. CSU finished one stroke behind Akron for the event with a total of 944. Louisville won the tournament by a stroke over Missouri with an 896 (+32) total for the three rounds. Chattanooga (901), Cincinnati (905), and Maryland (907) round out the top five. Louisville’s Emily Haas ran away with the tournament and carried the Cardinals to the team title. She finished at 7-under to win by five strokes. Junior Torey Johnson was CSU top finisher at 43rd. She shot a 78 in the final round to finish the event at 17-over. She had two birdies in her final round. Senior Amanda D’Ostroph finished tied for 51st after an 82 on Tuesday. She finished with a three-round 236 in the event. Fellow senior Katelyn Bensch shot a 78 in the final round to finish at 22-over par for the tournament and tied for 55th, while junior Vanessa Jay finished 64th after a team-low 77 on Tuesday. Jay also had two birdies in her final round and played the back nine at even par. Sophomore Viktoria Enhanger had an 81, her best round of the tournament, on Tuesday morning. She birdied the first hole and finished tied for 85th in the tournament. The Lady Bucs return to action next weekend at the Eat-A-Peach Collegiate in Macon, Ga.
