CSU finishes tied for 11th at Administaff Lady Jaguar Intercollegiate

AUGUSTA, Ga. – A tournament-best round of 314 boosted the Lady Buccaneers of Charleston Southern to an 11th-place tie at the Administaff Lady Jaguar Intercollegiate, which concluded Monday in Augusta, Ga. The Bucs finished the 54-hole event with a total score of 954 (+90) at Forest Hills Golf Club.

Coastal Carolina won the event with a three-day total of 891 (+27), 15 shots clear of host Augusta State. UNC Wilmington, Western Carolina and Middle Tennessee State rounded out the top-five at the event. CCU’s Aruka Felgueroso won medalist honors with a three-round score of three-over 219.

Olivia Jordan-Higgins once again paced the CSU effort; the reigning Big South Conference Co-Golfer of the Year shot a three-over 75 on Monday and ended the event tied for 4th, at 224 (+8). The result is the fourth top-five finish of the season for Jordan-Higgins.

Posting her best finish of the season to date was Katrin Rumpf, who fired a 77 on the final day, good for a 27th-place tie. Rumpf’s three-round score was 236 (+20).

Amanda D'Ostroph finished 56th at the event. Her Monday 85 gave her a final score of 247 (+31). One shot behind D’Ostroph in the final standings was Madison Jeter, who tied for 57th and shot a personal tournament-best 78 on Monday. Katelyn Bensch shot an 84 on the final day and checked in at 73rd position.

The Buccaneers will take next week off as they prepare for the Pinehurst Challenge, hosted by College of Charleston, to be held March 22 and 23.
