Lady Bucs Finish Atop Leaderboard at CSU Fall InvitationalSeptember 30, 2008By CSU Sports Information CHARLESTON, S.C. – Coosaw Creek’s course played tougher on day two of the CSU Fall Invitational, but the Lady Bucs were up to the challenge as they held onto a four-shot lead for the team championship. Junior Olivia Jordan-Higgins tied with Radford’s Hannah Coles for the individual title, with Higgins taking the trophy home on atiebreaker. Higgins finished with a 76 for a two-round total of seven over, 149 to lead the field of 52. Rhiannon Loebs shot a 77 on Tuesday to finish at 152 in a four-way tie for fourth. Madison Jeter, after a thrilling hole-in-one on day one, shot 153 for the tournament, tied for eighth. Katrin Rumpf was one of few players to shoot better on day two, carding a second-round 76 for a final score of 157 in a tie for 12th. Katy Heskett rounded out the scoring for CSU with an 84 in round two, finishing at 164 in a tie for 19th as all five Lady Bucs finished in the top-20 to take the championship. CSU will have a week off before traveling to the LPGA International Xavier Invitational in Daytona Beach, Fla., on Oct. 10-12. Full Results |
