Women's Golf in Tie for First After First RoundSeptember 11, 2007By CSU Sports Information CHARLESTON, S.C. – With one day of competition in the books at the Draper Intercollegiate, the Charleston Southern women’s golf team is tied for first with a total score of 292 (+4). Sophomore Katrin Rumpf led the Lady Bucs and the field in round one, posting a 69 (-3) to pace the competition.
With a score of 71 (-1), sophomore Olivia Jordan-Higgins is tied for second place and just behind the leader and her teammate, Rumpf. The third CSU golf in the top 20, sophomore Madison Jeter sits in a tie for 19th with a first round score of 75 (+3).
Rounding out the Lady Bucs, junior Rhiannon Loebs shot a first-round 77 (+5) to earn a share of 34th place after the first day, and senior Rachel Potts sits in 75th after shooting a 95 (+23).
Play will conclude at the Draper Intercollegiate, hosted by Appalachian State, today in Draper Valley, Va.
